  The Community School treated my family like dirt. We had fully enrolled our previously home schooled 6th grade daughter in their school 5 days a week and had gotten her very excited after we were told she would be picked up by the bus at our house for the 30 minute ride to school. They gave her a t-shirt and welcomed her into the community and she could not wait to see the friends she had made on her initial visit. We did not hear a thing from them all summer but knew their director was changing. The day before school started a new bus driver who I had never met called and told us she would not be picking up our daughter at our house which was the only way she could get to school. I drove her into the first day of school myself to make sure she didn't miss anything and the director brushed us off and used avoidance, the old director that had welcomed my daughter in the spring of the year before was cold and uncaring and the new bus driver sat and told me that it was just too much of an inconvenience to stop at our house even though she drives right by it. I was so heartbroken for my daughter and began crying and was asked to leave the waiting area. My family is heartbroken and has never received a formal apology from the school or any final explanation.

  I get two weeks off per year, and the owners of Okie Dokey Cabins ruined my “vacation” to New Hampshire. They then charged me $1,300. I paid for two weeks to stay at this place. I checked in at 6:00pm and within two hours I became nauseated because they use a compost toilet in the cabin which causes the cabin to stink like a heavily-use outhouse; the longer you are in it, the more the stench saturates your nostrils, bedding and clothes. As it was dark outside, and I had nowhere else to go, I attempted to get through the night. I was awake all night, and feeling a lot of stress. It was pitch black outside. The stench inside was overwhelming. Along with my nauseated stomach, I developed a throbbing headache. I paced the cabin, just waiting for daylight, so that I could evacuate. At 3:30am, my heart went into atrial fibrillation. I took extra doses of medication, and was forced to lay on the plastic mattress. The foul odor in the cabin was overwhelming. When the sky lightened, I managed to put my belongings into the trunk of my car, and left to go to a hospital. I called the owners that morning and told them what had happened; that I was unable to stay in the cabin another minute due to the horrible smell, and that I was suffering from a heart problem (likely triggered due to the stress of the night). They did not care. They refused any refund. They charged me for TWO weeks. I challenged the charge, but the owners provided a copy of my signature to my credit card company, and received my money. DON’T STAY HERE.

  Loved this out of the way place ! They are perfectly situated on the Swift river . This place was well thought out and planned . We visited in winter they are centrally located between the lakes region and the Mount Washington valley. We plan on coming back in the summer. The owners Mike and Annie we very welcoming and friendly. Also the wifi was better than most hotels !!!
